Just got back from a week of vacation at Lanier. After a slow start, we broke down and bought some leadcore rigs and started catching fish. Friday was our best day with 18 stripers and four big spots. We were off the water by 2:00 with sore arms.

We found fish holding in pockets just inside the mouths of creeks, not on the river channel like this time last year. White paddletail trailers outfished the green about 4 to 1.

Wore them out for sure. Congratulations, it is always best to have guests on board when fishing leadcore, I'm sure you know why now!

I should add my thanks to Larry at Oakwood B&T for delivering two fully rigged leadcore rods to the boat ramp on Sunday afternoon after we had experienced two skunk days on live bait.
