Setting outside BassPro in Lawerenceville and O'Neil Williams, the host of O'Neil Outdoors on Versus, came walking up. I kinda blurted out "Hey O'Neil". He came up introduced himself, asked me my name, and spent sometime talking to me. I was very impressed, he was going shopping like everyone else, but still took time to talk to a fan.

LOL, no I just watch his show every now and then. Theres one on On Demand right now about striper fishing on Lanier. It's with Captain Mack Farr.

I like the way O'Neill talks. He sounds like a good ole Georgia boy. Nice to hear in Atlanta these days. It's hard to tell your in the South anymore with all the rude ass carpet baggers around. Bet your one of 'em, ain't you?

Okay we might need to change the subject. Saw three bucks swimming across six mile this evening. Also an ambulance at 2 mile park. Hopefully no one drowned.

When did Milton die? I didn't know that he was sleeping with the fishes.

I think I was thinking of someone else when I said this. I believe he is alive and well.

I was using the word metaphorically, but here you go:

1. a Northerner who went to the South after the Civil War and became active in politics, esp. so as to profiteer from the unsettled social and political conditions of the area during Reconstruction.

2. Any opportunistic or exploitive outsider.

A carpetbagger has no genuime respect for local custom.

Thanks for the clarification. Coming from the West coast we weren't in the war of the states.

California became a state under the Compromise of 1850. It was admitted as a free state. During the Civil war, California was on the side of the North, although, there were pro South secessionist movements in southern California.

I was going to call you a carpetbagging Yankee, Lil Bill, but Californians are something else. Heck, one in five Californians admit they are crazy. Of course, the rest of the country already knew that.

Ouch. FYI, the Sorrento is now built in Georgia (okay, mine wasn't). KIA opened a plant in GA, but GM and Ford closed their Atlanta plants. Hmmmm.
