I was back down in S Florida again this week doing some work and thought I would share some screen captures from one "research" mission. I am more impressed with the LSS every time I get to use it. This is a very powerful piece of electronics when you see stuff like this you understand how;-)

I got 4 numbers from a local and out we went in 4 foot seas. First stop was a barge called Bullshark that is upside down and most of the bottom is rusted exposing the infrastructure leaving good holes for grouper and other fish.

The next stop was a place called Sandpile and this shot shows fish on Port and Starboard sides of the boat as well as water column

Next was a tug on the bottom called Titan and from this picture you can see how exact the LGC 4000 put us dead on the spot...

Can you tell this is a tug???

Did you see the fish on it? We did and about 10 seconds later there was a hook up resulting in this "reef donkey"..

I was showing these guys how you can move your curser over anything and zoom in resulting in pretty detailed stuff even in 4 foot seas....

If anyone needs a little "one on one" setting up your machine or on the water let me know.

Nice pics, I didn't know that about zooming in with the cursor. Thanks Bill.

Seriously... you can "track back" on all HDS units...put your cursor over an object and hit zoom in then move your cursor so it is exactly over the object and hit enter to mark a waypoint. The object can be off to either side of the boat if you have LSS and this feature is applicable to any screen. You can also measure distance by simply placing your cursor at one end of object then you hit menu and enable "measure distance" then hit enter and move the cursor to the other end of object and the distance will be displayed. This works on maps, sonar, charts, LSS...what ever.

Hope this helps...<")))><
