Got another early start this morning at Oakwood B&T then off to Old Federal. We got on the water and headed south to some past producing holes only to find nothing. After moving around for a bit we stopped on a main lake pocket and found some good fish.

Water temp was 85ish this morning and the fish were around 35ft on a 60ft bottom. The first fish we hooked up with took us in the trees and you could tell we had found some bigger fish at this spot. On the day we boated 6 stripers, 2 spots, 3 cats and was off the water by 1pm.

New to striper fishing. Those look like great fish. Do you use a line counter to know how deep you are fishing?

Troutman, we are using line counters with about a 5-6ft leader and marking zero at the sinker.
