Have any of you used the Diawa Sealine Line Counter reels? I bought one of the cheap Okumas last year and the line counter crapped out the second time I used it (Still in warranty, but the shipping costs don't make it worth while).
I think I am becoming a fan of the clip-on line counters (I have tried the Shakespear). You don't have to worry about the amount of line you have on the spool to make them accurate and they are a lot easier, and cheaper, to replace than a new reel.
I picked up a couple of the "refurbed" Diawa Sealines to try, and they were about 1/4 of the cost of a new one, so thought I would give them a try. The BPS in Macon has tons of refurbished reels that look brand new, but I am cautious about them for sure.
thanks for any input.
