Has anyone found a less expensive green submersable light that really works other than the Hydroglow Docklight that works on 110v and does not cost a car payment? Submersable being the key word. I think the 110 Hydroglow is only dock mountable above the water.? I have read the reviews on the 21" green 12v lights sold at BPS for around $25.00,they don't look very reliable. I know the Hydro is lots better and you get what you pay for may apply, just wondered if someone had rigged something that works without messing with a battery. Thanks for any info. God bless or military and veterans, happy Memorial Day.

I've got one of BPS lights and I've had it for 3 yrs. and used alot with no problems. Only problem is you do have to hook it to the battery.

There was a post here a year or two ago with instructions on how to build your own green underwater tube light, with bright LEDs and low amp draw....if anyone can find it and refresh it, it would be useful

The Bass Pro lights are just like a Hydro Glow but it takes 3 or 4 of them to put out as much light as 1 Hydro Glow. I have two of them I will sell for $30.

WB, I read that post back then. seemed like a lot of stuff to put one together. John, I could not tell from the Hydro web sight if they were submersable. do you have them in the store? How much $?
Do they have clips or brackets so they can be mounted and then snapped off and put in the water. That would be cool, so you could leave them on a few hours or over night, then catch bait early before a trip. Maybe put it in next to one of those bait traps.

I have a link somewhere to how to build them including all the parts/components and sources. If you are just wanting one light you are better off buying one if my memory serves me correct. The tubing and shipping will make it pretty costly if you just plan on building one tube. I think if you are going to build several it make more fiscal sense.

What a great forum...first post.
I have been looking to build an underwater light using 110v for my dock as well. Wanted 3-4 to surround the front of the dock. Any links to build them or buy inexpensive would be appreciated. Notice one post was from someone who sells them...do you have a link or a store in the area around Lanier? Thanks... <")))><
