I went out and fished most of the day. I tried freelining early, but the creeks were muddy and did not get a bite.

Tried pulling a U-Rig early over some of the spots I caught fish before and found that the fish were not there until 11 or 12 when the water temps got up to 50 degrees.

As the water temp got up to 52 they were pretty thick. After I trolled a school, I tried downlining trout on them. I caught one which was 30 inches (I guess 10 or 11 pounds), and had another break off when I set the hook. I missed another on down lines by not waiting long enough before setting the hook.

After all of this I went back to trolling and found a number of schools at 30 feet on humps. One school produced for 4 passes, including a double ( I though for sure I had Stripezilla on the end of my line).

Final count including 2 that got off at the boat was 2 18 inch green fish, 9 Stripes under 22 inches and 4 Stripes over 22 inches. The biggest was 30 inches.

All in all, a pretty good day on the lake.
