Jeff B and i decided to catch some bait last night ,filled the tanks in about 2 hours, water temp about 57.7 so we start throwing plugs, put out several free lines caught 1 on a gizzy, several blow ups nothing.Bombers did not pay off for us last night only 1 caught lost 1 at the boat, changed to diffeent plug(MC STICK)oh what a plug it was last night. it was on fire. boated 8 all between 5 to 12 lbs.The only thing i would recommend is changing hooks straighten most of the hooks on the fish we caught.Seems like the smaller plugs was what they were eating last night on the north end.We also caught 1 spot about 5lb

Tim, thanks for the report and the recommendation on the hooks. I'm going to try the stick bait early tormorrow morning. Based on your report, I may have to use a bit larger rod/reel than I was planning. That's a good problem to have!
