The striper fishing was very difficult today. The lake is really beginning to show some signs of turning over. The water temp. is 81 degrees. I expect the next couple of days to be difficult as well. I hate to sound pessimistic but I don't have anything good to post. It would not hurt to try the bomber bite at night. It is not too early. I plan to try it next week. I will also be out this weekend so I will let everyone know how it goes.

If you were fishing with your boss on Sunday for the second time, (first time we caught a 17lb striper at the mouth of Six Mile - 65-70 feet deep over 100 foot bottom on herring) Would you try the same? Maybe something different or is it really going to be bad this weekend? Maybe fake an illness to avoid getting skunked?
