Lil Bill - If the HDS5 doesn't work out, I might be interested in your LCX38 until. I don't know much about tht model, but it has to be an improvement over what I have. Let me know if you figure out how much you want.

Jason, I sold my 38 and bought the new 10. You should be able to pick up the other model cheaper and with a bigger screen. You also could contact Oakwood B&T to see what they have. I know in the past when someone upgrades they order the new unit and will sell the ther unit at the store.

Also a guy (Lionel) in our striper club has one of the high end Humming Bird units with the side scan that you could probably pick up for a good price. He bought his boat and it was already installed on it. It's deffinatly a nice unit but he likes Lowrance. Just another thought.......
