The rubber for the buttons is one piece and it was cracked inside the controller. I have gotten it wet a hundred times and even submerged it and never had problems.

It's just my luck though. I had a deer stand one time that broke in a weld, I called the maker and they "had never heard of that happening". The stand was only a month old too. Although they did send me another one when I sent mine back to analyze it for future problems.
