I have been looking for a good map of lanier to use for editing waypoints etc. and just found a new Corps map set which works with Oziexplorer. I have been using Ozi for years with topo maps for hunting and have found it to be superior to any other application including Mapcreate but had never found a free map of any quality for Lanier.
The corps web site now has a complete mapset with all navaids, lake contours, etc. on it and it is a pretty high resolution map. The downside is that it consists of some 30 seperate maps. The good news is that Ozi has a map merge feature, which I used to join them all together. My first run at this is a little rough but it is pretty accurate as you can load USR files and display them on the map.
The map is on PDF format but the images can be converted to JPG files and imported into OZI as it has calibration points and GPS coords included. Here is the link to the Corps map:

The contours are very similar to the Lowrance enhanced map. I checked some of my waypoints against the contours and it is pretty accurate.
