I believe the stripers might be changing their pattern a bit. I used planer boards working from the back of creeks out and had pretty good luck. I had a very large school blow up directly in front of the boat and watch both planer boards fly through the air as soon as the herring crossed over the school. This was mid day. I believe I'll see a lot more of this over the next few weeks and beyond. It was definitely nice to catch big stripers on top for a change.
