Pulled U-rids from 11 till 5 today and the schools were not nearly as active as previous weeks. Temps were 45 - 47 degrees. Most of the fish were holding at 40-50 feet off the edges. Had to drop the rig to 40 plus feet to get the first bite. Caught a couple more on structure (stumps and outcrops).
I ended up pulling trash around in my rigs twice and should have checked sooner but after I pulled through what I knew were fish and did not get bit both times I finally cleared them. I may have pulled the trash around for over an hour the first time. Live and
learn I guess.
Decent little 8 or 9 pounders both hit the 6in. shad on the chipmunk. Here are a couple of pics.
