I met Pippin this morning at the boat storage for a little urig towing before hitting BPS. Craig was itching to see the Structure Scan. We launched the boat at 0745 and just started trolling from the ramp. It was not long before we came upon what looked pretty darn good!

This is where with a little luck it becomes sight fishin (note that Craig now wears his life jacket ....

I marked the location and we turned around and headed back that way. To our surprise the fish were still there and were hanging by a submerged bush which this time we saw....

Since we had shot the waypoint we were able to hit the same spot and as you can see they actually stayed there for a while.

I finally got a little too close to the tree and snagged it and when we went to retrieve the rig spooked the fish. We managed to catch some bass before we put the boat back on the trailer but no more stripers. I did get a cool picture of a tree that I wanted to share

I was also out on Tuesday for a couple of hours and managed to boat a few on the rigs. All of the fish I have boated recently were out on the main lake and NOT in the backs of creeks event though the bait is in the back of creeks and even though the water temp is warmer in some. I'm not saying there are no fish back there I'm just saying the main lake is where I have caught fish. The Structure Scan is one heck of a machine and with it I know absolutely if what I am seeing is fish, trees, bubbles or what ever. One thing I noticed today was that most fish bit a bait that "rattles" hint hint  as in rattle chamber.

Awesome shots Bill. I saw the same pattern last week, main lake around 40' deep and would only hit urigs. The best part is that they were in the same spots day after day, which makes for good trolling. I tried dropping a trout down on a large school but they would have no part of it.

Going to try it again on Wed. when the wind lays down.

That is a good report. The only problem I see with it is that I'm not in any of the above pictures. smile

It appears that you've got the Lowrance finely tuned in Bill. I would be interested in some lessons on the side/down/structure scan feature.

I'm glad you guys had some luck out there. I can't wait to get back in the swing of things.

(BTW, Chandler assured me that you must have the wrong person - he wasn't on any dock talking to any girl LOL)

Bill, question for you. On the last picture you can see the tree on both sides of the side scan. Shouldn't it be on one side of the center line or the other? Or does it appear like that if you are directly over an object?

You see things in the water collumn on both sides most of the time. The unit doesn't see the bottom until the depth. In that case I was in 60 feet and dropping so from the centerline to 60 on both sides is the the water collumn.

Dang! I think i spotted an old u-rig of mine in that tree....

It looks like some of your u-rig baits have spinner blades; do you notice a difference with that? Add the rattles and I'll bet it seems like a disco train is rolling into town....

You know it wormboy.... that is until today!

I went today and found that the water has dropped another 2-3 degrees since Saturday and the creeks were blown out...trash everywhere this morning. Everyone I spoke with had a big fat ZERO.

I had a starter battery crash on me with the cold, so the boats' been gathering sparrow poop in the driveway while I wait for inertia and money to cross each other-- been screaming to get it going and get out there, but reports like that make the warm bed seem, well, warmer....

However... the dang house has more fresh interior paint than a dutch boy's colon, and the marital bank account looks like AIG before the crash crazy
I need to spend some marital capital and get out!!! see you on the pond (I'll be the guy in the the 22 ft CC paddling)
