went out sunday morning until afternoon-- lots of spots and a couple of little stripes, but nothing else; fished shoal creek, balus and a couple of other favorites. marked fish and had a few half-hearted splashes on freelined trout. nothing else except the spotted herring thieves
water temp ranged from 46-56; hope it keeps warming as I'm going out again weds.

Anyone else have advice on where else to try? is the main morning action north of browns bridge?

many thanks

I didn't fish this past weekend but fished the previous Saturday. I tried Baldridge Creek just because I was staying in that area and ended up picking up 2 nice 15lb twin stripers (VERY fat). We were pulling trout across points.

Tried again Sunday but it was a madhouse with all the cruisers out...I wouldn't recommend it on the weekend (almost capsized by one boat!!)

Good luck,

Bfish

Yep-- had to dodge a few cruisers myself yesterday; saw a bassboat almost buried by one's wake. If I could afford a boat like that I'd be able to afford a house on big enough water for it-- just my humble....
As my wife says-- there's a lot of overcompensating going on at lanier....

How far up baldridge do you normally go? I always end up getting stuck--mostly out of stubborness-- near the mouth or only part ways back past the first narrows.

Do you fish out back of the park there or down past the marina?

Thanks for any tips!!

Sorry for not giving much info, but it was asked how people did Sunday. \:\) \:\)

We did very well in the NGSC monthly tournament. We had 2 fish that weighed 53lbs, one of my striper tubes broke and 1 of the 2 died, so my partner for the day, Roger, is going to get it mounted.

They were not caught were people who know me, would have expected me to be. I was a good 15/20 miles south of there.

Wormboy,

I was fishing toward the back of Bald Ridge. Hitting the points starting around Mary Alice and working my way out. Might have just been lucky on Saturday as we didn't catch anything in there on Sunday (but like I said, the boat traffic was terrible on Sunday...might have had something to do with it).

I tried to post a pic of the fish but have no clue how.

Good Luck,

Bfish
