Description
This picture does not do this fish justice. I wished I had weighed it. It was very close to the same size as the fish in this article.

They put those flatheads in Lanier a few years ago and I knew they would start getting big and showing up. The flatheads will get huge. I wouldnt be surprised to see some 30lbs soon. I caught a 12lb flat at clarks bridge last year. Neat catch Kepler.

The fish was fun to catch and actually had my drag screaming a little, but it wasn't a striper. It felt heavy more than anything else. I generally hate catfish, but I'd imagine a 60 lber would be a heck of a good ride. Break out the chicken livers. Oh, I got the weight for the record from this site.

Ya'll would have had a good laugh watching me trying to pick the damn thing up. I'm actually a little scared of them, been finned before.

Its funny you say that. I dont touch them without a handtowel or something either. Call me a p---y i dont care. I havent actually been stuck but have seen other people and dont want to try it. Salt water cats are twice as bad. I never can figure out how those guys that noodle them then wrestle them and throw them over there shoulder arent bleeding all over.

Also save your old bluebacks and use them. They work as good as chicken livers and stay on the hook.

I may be wrong but I don't think those big cats they noodle for have those barbs but I may be wrong. I was fishing of the beach(drunk) and caught a little catfish and kicked it in the water like an idiot and that barb went into the bone. Needless to say it ruined the rest of my week.
