The only thing that may help is adding some line from the actual rig to the jigs. That way they wont key in on the metal frame and be scared away. What did you use for a base?

yeah i usually use 30 lb mono but i had to rig it on the boat in a pinch. i used a horse head white with a willow blade on it. another good rig i have put together with a 20 in is all of the center lead is attach just something with flash like a willow or something. then i use a standard jig on the outside attachments. then either a bleeding shad or something a little different on the long line...just typing while momma and the new baby are napping
