Up 985 and head to Clarksville is a good spot as well. That is on the Soque river and it is public right under the bridge. There are lots of small fish but since there are trophy lodges on both sides of the public area bigfish are there. I caught a 9

Thanks, guys. bigfish -- the water went all the way to the bottom of the lake. Water was 16 to 21 feet deep, with most fish caught over a 17 to 18 foot bottom. The bigger two were in 20 to 21 feet of water. Dan -- I wouldn't go that far, but so

Put Stabil in the boat and filled the tank with gas. Decided to put the boat in and pull u-rigs in six mile to work it through the engine. Only fished a couple of hours with no strippers but saw a good amount of bait. Did manage to catch a few Bud Li

no minnows. All caught with curly-tailed grubs, trolling. The real key is to have enough snacks for the kids, and to use the word "crappie" as much as possible. Such as, "My hands smell like crappie.". LOL

We caught 35 crappie and a spot. Water was right at 50 degrees, and was plenty stained still, with some debris here and there. My friend Richard and his son went with me and my daughter. The kids reeled in most of those 36 fish (in 4 or 5 hours).
